Richland County Historical Museum
The Richland County Historical Museum displays the history of Richland County. The 12,500-square-foot museum is intended to recognize the people who originally lived in Richland County. Some of the displays include pioneer and American Indian artifacts. Many of the rooms are set up as scenes from early homes in the area.
Other attractions at the museum are the one room schoolhouse, family history information and original newspapers. There is also a gift shop.
The museum is located at the entrance of Chahinkapa Park at Seventh Avenue and Second Street North in Wahpeton. The museum’s hours are from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The museum is closed during the winter.
